Radio veteran Robin Alexander dies at 73

VETERAN radio personality Robin Alexander, famed for his “brrright eyed and bushy tailed” phrase, died at his Parktown North home in Joburg yesterday aged 73. “He was busy getting into bed when he just fell back into the bed,” his wife Ros said. “I kept saying ‘What’s wrong?’ and he said ‘I’m having chest pains’. Alexander’s son Ross said his father had been retired for just over 10 years and had had a “huge zest for life”. – Sapa
