R59m tik haul seized

BANGKOK: Thai police have impounded 73kg of crystal meth left unattended at a Bangkok bus station. Six bags of the tablets – known as tik in SA – were left by an unidentified couple. Police staked out the suspicious-looking baggage for nearly four hours, but no one came to retrieve it. Officers opened the bags and found crystal meth worth about $7.3 million (R59m).
