Major sale of quality used vehicles in Martindale will set the 2019 auction ball in motion
PARK Village Auctions is gearing up for its first vehicle auction for 2019 on Wednesday at 10.30am at 221 Main Road in Martindale, Joburg.
PVA’s Clive Lazarus thinks the start of a year is the best time for budget-savvy buyers to acquire quality used vehicles.
He says: “It’s no secret that dealerships focus, almost exclusively, on new vehicle sales between December and January. Firstly, to smash annual targets before February’s year-end and also to push new launches in the New Year. This is great for those who can afford a new set of wheels, but what about those who can’t?
“The budget-conscious know increased inflation rates and fuel prices are going to eat into monthly disposable incomes, so they want to secure an upgrade in wheels with affordable repayments to offset running costs.This where auctions offer a solution.
“Genuine bank-repossessed car auctions have always presented an affordable way for buyers to buy a new car, often with warranties and services plans still intact. Bidding sets the price, finance is available on the auction floor, and insurance premiums on used vehicles are generally lower, depending on the make and model of the car.”
Lazarus says another benefit of car auctions is that buyers can choose from a wider selection of vehicles.
