fans were left shocked on Thursday night when Gabriel “Moruti waTstotsi’’ Mothusi

(Aubrey Poo), was shot by Nina Zamdela, played by Khabonina Qubeka.

On Twitter Isidingo paid homage to the seasoned actor as they bid farewell to one of Mzansi’s best.

“And with that we bid @ ActorAubrey aka Gabriel goodbye.

Thank you for portraying Gabriel so well. You will be sorely missed. @NthabiTau thank you for a jam packed episode!!”

In another statement, the show’s executive producer, Pumla Hopa, hailed Poo as an exceptionally talented performer.

“We will miss the energy of this fluid character. Gabriel was a real opportunistic chameleon and slotted into all tiers of our world, causing havoc and playing people at their own games.

“We will forever be grateful to the exceptionally talented Aubrey Poo, who entertained viewers for three seasons on Isidingo.”

While many are still reeling in shock of pastor Gabriel’s untimely death, others suggested someone resurrect him just like man who was recently “raised from the dead” by a controversial pastor.

“OMG. My one and only favourite character Gabriel Mothusi (Pastor) is dead 😓😓!!@ActorAubrey..,” wrote one Twitter user.

“Ao banna... No resurrection? Gabriel was a pastor,” added another user.

“Ooohh Gabby bathong.. Im sure he’ll go to Hell. Lol fake moruti... I truly loved his character farewell ntate Aubs,” commented another.
