We can’t afford another 5 years of criminal ANC rule

- DR PETER C BAKER | Parktown North

THE ANC candidates list includes several politicians with undeniable guilt in having received bribes and slush funds, in addition to being proved under public review that they were incompetent in carrying out their ministerial duties.

Nomvula Mokonyane almost single-handedly ruined the Department of Water Affairs.

The Ramaphosa government swept under the carpet Bathabile Dlamini’s ineptitude and gross dereliction of her duties as social development minister. And it gave her a new brass plaque.

We, the public, are affronted by the ANC’s grand cover-up and nepotism.

Mosebenzi Zwane is Mr Zupta incarnate; he was one of the main peanuts in the entire Gupta-Zuma criminal cartel – and he is being proposed as a member of Parliament.

Shame on you Ramaphosa, Magashule… all of you! We are sick and tired of your cover-ups, your running South Africa as your little fiefdom where you can do what you want and how you want, with no recourse.

You are wrong. We, the people, will ensure that you are brought to court, tried and found guilty of the crimes against the state and the people of

South Africa.

To add insult to injury, we see the porn star, among other nefarious accolades, Malusi Gigaba, is on the list. Does this ANC have no pride, no integrity, no honour and no commitment to honesty? It appears not. It is a criminal brotherhood.

President Cyril Ramaphosa promised us a new South Africa in which there is justice and a better life for all under his “new ANC”. During the State of the Nation Address, he spoke about the scourge of corruption with special reference to the “lost nine years”.

From what we can deduce from the list of horrors the ANC put forward, it’s business as usual with the corrupt cabal of cadres ruling the roost without so much as a ruffling of their feathers. Ramaphosa and the ANC hierarchy have demonstrated that it is more of the same, just different T-shirts.

South Africa cannot afford another five years of criminal ANC rule with the same bunch of robbers at the helm. It’s bad enough that we have learnt that the ANC and its party designates have raped and robbed Eskom, Transnet, the SABC, and just about every other government agency and state-owned entity. Now we are learning about their starting the process of pilfering the PIC. This is the pension money of all state employees! The party has no morals and no respect.

South Africa must wake up and smell the coffee or the putrefaction, however you wish. The ANC is the mother of corrupt parties and must be exiled. The criminals must be prosecuted, convicted and imprisoned. Viva South Africa! Viva!
