Harding on song
SOUTH Africa’s Justin Harding enjoyed yet another sensational Sunday to edge closer to a Masters Tournament debut at Augusta National next month.
After claiming a maiden European Tour win at last week’s Commercial Bank Qatar Masters, Harding has gone sub-70 in six of his seven fourth rounds this season, with a pair of 63s in the Middle East.
He matched last week’s closing 66 on Sunday at the Magical Kenya Open to finish in a tie for second at Karen Country Club and earn yet more vital points in the World Golf Ranking.
“I had to have a good finish,” he said. “To have done that helps.
“I think I’m probably still going to have to have a decent result come the Match Play but I’ve at least given myself a decent shot at Augusta.”
“I had a good week last week and another one this week so I’m sitting quite nicely first season on the European Tour.” | ANA
