PREDICTIONS
THE late healer Credo Mutwa was known for his predictions of future events, the last one being that of the pending “World War 3” between the US and Iran that took place earlier this year.
In 1993, Mutwa predicted a war that would see Iran acquire atomic power and substances from China, and the violence and warfare would spread to North Africa via the Middle East.
He also predicted the attacks on the World Trade Centers in New York in 2001.
The 1976 Uprising, another of his predictions, landed Mutwa in a predicament with the people of Soweto because of the misguided reporting about him. His time in Soweto was tumultuous, having his home attacked in September that year. The year before, Mutwa established a living museum/ cultural village Kwa-Khaya Lendaba. During the uprising, parts of the village were burnt down. In 1980, the village was again attacked and Mutwa left Soweto for good. He settled in the North West.
As a shaman, he sought out world truths and African mythology.

Mutwa stopped prophesying after he felt he was being taken advantage of and disappeared from the public eye when he was 91. In January this year, his family asked the public to send prayers for the ailing teacher, who eventually succumbed to illness yesterday at the age of 98.
