SA’s vaccine roll-out is so slow, even Zimbabwe is ahead of us

- JEAN MICHEL BOUVIER Bryanston

GERMANY has started to vaccinate just over 1 million people per day and we have managed to vaccinate, after four months, just over 300 000 people.

Even Zimbabwe and Sierra Leone have done better.

And although a new batch of vaccines arrived on May 3 we have to wait up to May 17 to start vaccination.

Why? Are we so incompetent? And why does the government want to be the only authority for the purchasing and distribution of vaccines? I guess for their connected cadres to score millions again. When are they going to stop looting and plundering this country?

But, of course, the ANC government will come up with waffle and spin and give us a thousand excuses.
