THE City of Joburg is continuing its regional open days in Region G.

The city, together with municipal entities such as City Power and Joburg Water, has held open days to assist the customer education processes to ensure ratepayers understand where and how to get assistance in the city.

Ratepayers who have been experiencing difficulty in understanding their municipal accounts are encouraged to attend the open day so the city can address their queries.

The next open day will be at the Zakariyya Park Civic Hall, 247 Clove Drive, Zakariyya Park tomorrow from 8am to 3.30pm.

Kgamanyane Maphologela, the director for communications for the city, said residents in Region G were encouraged to to attend to experience improved service when interacting with the city.

Customers will also be able to enquire about the city’s debt rehabilitation programme which ends on July 1.

Residents who are in arrears, under certain conditions, can apply for some of their debt to be written off.

This debt relief can also be applied for online by completing the application form on www.joburg.org.za or via email to debtrehab@joburg.org.za. Residents can also apply at any of the customer service centres across the city.
