Slanted reporting on Palestine raises doubts

- JR WHITLOCK | Germiston

CNN headline reads “Pro-Palestinian protests taking place all over world”, creating the false impression that millions around the world are supporting the Palestinians.

Absolute hogwash!

There have been some protests in mainly Arab countries, such as Lebanon and Jordan, and a smattering in Europe, the UK and the US. There have been no protests in the communist countries or anywhere else – Mongolia, for example.

Protesters, at any rate, make up only about 0.001% of a population – hardly the whole country.

Protesters are mainly the unemployed youth, students who do very little studying, and the usual bleeding heart brigade. Very few people of note participate in the riots. Protests actually achieve very little, except mass destruction and looting.

CNN, in its usual one-sided and biased reporting, is desperately trying to portray Israel as the merciless villain attacking a so-called defenceless nation fighting for its rights.

Hamas is just as much to blame for the conflict as Israel, with their incessant bombarding of Israel with rockets, and their fanatical hate of the Israelis. They have blown their chance for peace. It is no wonder that intelligent people throughout the world are beginning to question the validity and veracity of the press.

More and more people are starting to query the motives behind the slanted press releases and their covert agendas – especially with regard to CNN.

Has the media become “the enemy of the people”?
