How do you practise hygiene with no water?

- | Siyabuswa

“STAY at home, wash your hands!” That’s the language we hear over and over throughout lockdown.

That is the reason we tirelessly continue to ask the government this million dollar question: How do our communities stay at home while their taps are dry? How do they practise the supposed hygiene, either?

Which one is more endangering the community: Addressing a little crowd during lockdown, for which Carl Niehaus was arrested with immediate effect, or the perpetual shutdown of a basic necessity most needed for combating deadly Covid-19?

Would you please stop insulting our intelligence. Now it’s clear that it was in vain and in disguise that the president posed so serious (lockdown), like a traffic cop about the issue of municipalities who deprive citizens of water when lockdown was first introduced.

The first and most urgent arrest should be for those who through the looting of funds issued for water supply contravene the human rights regulations by denying our communities water when they need it the most. No sweet talk will save our nation – radical action will!
