Shudu is breathtakingly beautiful. She carried the crown so well. She did everything she said she would do and more. With the social media bullying and everything. She stood tall and carried her crown with grace. I respect her.

@mulanga_ornella

Those who have been against her since she was crowned will keep saying she is unmemorable but some of us will remember her reign. The same people who bully Shudu will be advocating for mental health tomorrow. I hope she wins Miss World.

@MaremaTlego

We will remember Shudu as one queen who made us fully aware of mental health on her mindful Mondays. A queen that wrote a book for young girls to be courageous and speak up until their voices do not shake when they speak. We have seen her and we will remember her.

@TumoMokone

I am not a great fan of beauty pageants but the beauty and grace of Shudu will remain with me for the longest time.

@SimplyTebo_K

I love how she never got discharged (sic) by the bullying but continued with what she promised us on being an advocate of mental health. She did her part and I hope she continues thriving. I cannot wait for her to win Miss World in December.

@simamkeleD

I am incredibly proud of our reigning Shudu. She graduated with her BA Honours in International Relations degree and authored a children’s book all during her reign. Congratulations Shudufhadzo. I am so excited to see what you do next.

@KarimaManz

So relatable. Her launching mindful Mondays because of past experiences, while going through the same thing all over again. It was close to home and not far-fetched. She made it so easy to want to be part of it.

Congratulations to our outgoing

Miss SA on a successful year of reign. Beauty, brains, a beautiful soul.

There are a million opportunities ahead of her. With her head up, back straight and shoulders squared. Grab them and make the world a better place.

@Ramathabatheee

Loved Shudu’s response here when they brought the Zozi comparison. “There’s no dealing with it, it’s just about embracing it because she opened the door and I just walked through it.”

@tm_munzfa

Some of us loved her. No matter what we do in this world there will always be those who love you and those who do not.
