ANC condemns EFF attack

The Sunday Independent - - METRO -

THE ANC has said the EFF’s attacks on Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan and the state capture inquiry reflected the political stance of US President Donald Trump.

ANC head of the presidency Zizi Kodwa said the EFF’s attacks on the inquiry were undermining the ANC’s effort to get to the root of state capture, and he likened the EFF’s attacks to Trump’s nationalistic and right-wing political position.

Kodwa’s comments came after EFF leader Julius Malema told supporters protesting outside on Tuesday that the inquiry was a “Mickey Mouse show” that was robbing the poor.

Kodwa said earlier the EFF’s campaign – especially the party’s use of “race-hate” politics to stir up anger among its supporters – should be stopped as it could undermine democracy.
