SAMUEL Mamabolo,48, has been a dog lover all his life. Mamabolo, who owns greyhounds for hunting purposes, said he had learned over the years the importance of taking good care of his animals. He also owns pigs, goats and sheep.

“This breed of dogs requires that you take care of them fully. When you start neglecting them, they show quickly that something is wrong. I have had them for longer than I can remember and what

I can tell you is that there is no need to have animals if you can’t take care of them. The same way you need food and water regularly is also the same for them,” said Mamabolo, who is mostly known in Phola Park, Thokoza, for his dogs.

“I also go around teaching other people on how to take care of their animals. If I find that someone doesn’t take care of their dogs then I call authorities to come get them.”
