BARLOWORLD Ford Pi­eter­mar­itzburg on Tues­day handed a new 2,2 Ford Ranger 4x4 to sup­port the WWF’s Black Rhino Range Ex­pan­sion Project (BRREP).

Dealer prin­ci­pal Dar­ryl Top­per said Ford was proud to be as­so­ci­ated with the project and grate­ful to all the peo­ple who did such a pro­fes­sional job in in­creas­ing black rhino pop­u­la­tions.

Head of the project, wildlife vet­eri­nar­ian Dr Jac­ques Fla­mand, re­ceived the ve­hi­cle, say­ing Ford has sup­ported the pro­gramme for the 15 years to help es­tab­lish 10 new pop­u­la­tion groups. He said this was his fifth spon­sored Ford, adding ev­ery new it­er­a­tion of the Ranger had been bet­ter and es­pe­cially the Ranger’s 4x4 abil­ity was cru­cial to his work in KZN, Lim­popo and the Kruger Park. — WR.
