MAN has moved its Pinetown retail operation to Port Elizabeth.

MAN said in a statement the brand has seen significant increase in sales and market share in SA and to maintain this momentum it is expanding assembly operations by approximately 50%.

While this means customers can no longer buy trucks direct in Pinetown, six MAN dealers in KwaZuluNatal provide this and a variety of support options to trucking operations, including MAN’s ProfiDrive driver training. MAN has been building trucks in Pinetown for almost 60 years.

In Europe, MAN is now selling a fully electric van to meet cities’ demand for greener transport. It can have a range of 160 km, but then the 1 700 kg payload shrinks to 950 kg.
