PARTNERING FOR PROGRESS
Toyota’s taking a major step towards sustainable mobility by expanding beyond traditional cars and trucks into the creation of new services for customers, says President Akio Toyoda. Speaking at the recent CES exhibition, he announced the e-palette Alliance to develop connected mobility solutions around flexible, purposebuilt vehicles. The alliance will create an ecosystem of hardware and software to help companies use advanced mobility technology to serve their customers better.
Launch partners include Amazon, Didi, Mazda, Pizza Hut and Uber, which will develop connected vehicle applications ranging from vehicle leasing and insurance to fleet management and big data.
