HOOKED ON HYDROGEN
Conventional forklifts operating in Toyota’s manufacturing plants are being replaced with fuel cell versions to meet the Plant Zero CO2 Emissions Challenge. Already 22 fuelcell forklifts are in use at the Motomachi Plant in Toyota City, Japan, with a hydrogen station to refuel them.
Using hydrogen to generate electricity is better for the environment, as it doesn’t emit CO2 or other substances of concern. It also supplies electricity to serve as a source of power during emergencies.
