Ed’s letter

As I kiss 2016 goodbye I’m really excited for yet another opportunity to start afresh. The past year has certainly been challenging for many of us and there are decisions that may not have worked out as well as we’d hoped. The interesting part about decisions, whether well received or shunned, is that they’ll always be yours to make. So, claim ownership of your decisions and never back down. This philosophy also holds true for fashion and beauty. When you decide to wear something, stand by your decision and wear it with confidence. Because fashion and beauty are two of our main passions here at TRUE LOVE, you’re guaranteed the latest and best trends. What I love about fashion is that it’s always evolving. Who would have thought sneakers could be an office staple? See this and more in our fashion team’s workwear edit – showing you how to rock the latest trends to work. Life coaches agree that if you have a positive attitude towards work, you can achieve almost anything. If you want to make a greater effort to enjoy your job again, then turn to our careers feature on page 88 for invaluable tips on how you can regroup, reshuffle and create goals and support networks without actually having to change jobs or quit. A support network is important and can mean a world of difference – much like the unparalleled backing from you, our reader. You have reached out at a trying time for us at TRUE LOVE and proved that you really care about your favourite magazine. Your support will always be the voice of reason when we make decisions going forward. It’s this support that has positioned us as the most read woman’s magazine in the country. So, as we take stock of the old and welcome in the new, let’s view 2016 challenges as setbacks, which can make us stronger and wiser because there’s a lesson in each situation. I’ve learnt mine and am prepared to make 2017 a better one. Happy New Year, and a big thank you, from the TRUE LOVE team.
