Aquarius (20 Jan – 18 Feb)

Make New Year’s resolutions, even if you don’t usually do so. This year, the planets align to receive your dreams and make them a reality. 2017 is a year of international opportunities. The eclipses in February and August push you to connect more closely with others. An endless influx of new friends keep appearing in your life.

Love: Your desire to express yourself freely should not just be you playing the rebel. Re-evaluate your relationship. Connect with foreign people. In August, you go through a physical transformation. October is a great month for love and passion. Go for it!

Career: With the planet of expansion in higher learning, you could go into teaching or even go into further learning.

Money: Find creative ways to increase your income. Avoid spending on large ticket items during March and April.

Pisces (19 Feb – 20 Mar)

Have your bags ready for major travel. The planet of expansion extends your horizons in every direction. Think about your health during the lunar eclipse in early February; and by late February it’s time for new beginnings, so put your dreams out there. Now and again don’t forget to put your needs first.

Love: Does your lover even know who you are? You morph into varying personalities with Neptune in your sign. The planet of illusion also puts you into a fog, but don’t question your intuition. In August, your relationship undergoes changes – it’s the real deal or it’s not. Don’t settle for lukewarm you deserve the best.

Career: Success comes in time even though you may feel the boss watching your every move. From October, if there’s a book you want to publish – do it. There may also be international travel.

Money: March and April are the months to clinch deals.

Aries (21 Mar – 19 Apr)

Rearing to set-off into 2017? Reinvent yourself; a different side of you is awakening. This year you can achieve much more than you expected. If you’re planning to have babies, get working on it during Valentine’s month.

Love: Have you been keeping secrets? This year is the time to come clean. You may feel unloved but this is your year of copious relationships .

Career: Sign up for courses and build your knowledge base. Your need for independence fuels your drive – you want to do things your way.

Money: In April, scrutinise your finances. It’s a great time to rethink and restructure your financial dealings. From mid-October money comes to you – invest it wisely.

Taurus (20 Apr – 20 May)

Change direction – it’s time to exercise. After the solar eclipse on 26 February, you become more intuitive. Don’t be surprised if you meet people that you connect with instantly, your soulmate could be among them.

Love: March to mid-April is not a good time to start a relationship. The planet of luck and good fortune enters in mid-October and stays there for the next year: play the field.

Career: In January, there’s opportunity for growth, but first change your inner dialogue – increase your self-awareness.

Money: Continue saving, you may feel limited but the foundation you’re building will give you the freedom you seek in 2018.

Gemini (21 May – 20 Jun)

2017 is about fun, adventure and chasing goals. Mercury, your ruler, is retrograde until 8 January; 9 April to 2 May; 13 August to 5 September and 3 to 23 December. Use these times to finish projects – you’ll be surprised at the genius that comes through.

Love: You’re getting more love attention than you can ever remember. If you thought romance was gone forever, it’s back. You’ll learn about finding a balance between needs.

Career: Maintain your centre. By spring, things go your way, push for your needs. You have the magic formula to get it right.

Money: Good financial months are July, August and December. You may have to deal with legal matters. Do things by the book.

Cancer (21 Jun – 22 Jul)

The year may start off sluggishly but you’re already making travel plans. If you haven’t already, take steps to improve your health or your body will give you a hard time. This year is pivotal, you’ll make many decisions and go through changes.

Love: You seek long-term commitment. By mid-year, it’s make or break time; decisions have to be made if the foundations aren’t solid. From 10 October factor in more fun and adventures.

Leo (23 Jul – 22 Aug)

Give up on any idea that you have control. Significant changes come – it may seem traumatic but you’re polishing yourself to shine brighter. From mid October there are changes – a move, home expansion or even an addition to the family.

Love: Long-term commitment is required on the love front, so be sure you choose the perfect blend for you – not just anyone will do. There’s no shortage of potential suitors.

Career: Reinvent yourself during February and again in August. Set things in motion to align yourself with your goals.

Money: The solar eclipse is in your house of money. Sow the seeds from 26 February. Look at property as an investment as it’ll pay off in the long term.

Virgo 23 Aug – 22 Sep

People may not move as fast but exercise patience. Set time aside to connect with yourself spiritually, do mental as well a physical decluttering. Build closer bonds with family this year.

Love: Pay close attention to your love, and make time for each other as Neptune puts a veil on things – so it’s harder to connect. Be present and do more looking into each other’s eyes and listening. If single, you could meet someone that clicks with you instantly and deeply like a soul mate.

Career: Working behind the scenes propels you into the spotlight. By next year you are ready to start a business, or something new.

Money: You are earning more since the planet of abundance entered your money house, luckily it stays there until 9 October.

Libra 23 Sep – 22 Oct

Like manna from the sky you have been on the receiving end of universal love. Fantastic opportunities like these only come around every 12 years, so lap it up. By early August the lunar eclipse brings new beginnings and new friendships.

Love: An old love may appear but stay away from new romances from, as well as any radical aesthetic treatments – you’ll be disappointed.

Career: Confidence is oozing from your every pore – so asking for a promotion is easy and very likely yours. Overseas travel or even international business plans are a strong possibility.

Money: Self-growth since October puts you in a better position to make decisions, and less likely to undervalue yourself.

Scorpio 24 Oct – 21 Nov

Hard lessons have made you tougher, but you are reshaping to prepare for end of the year greatness. This year is about finding your own answers and understanding yourself. Make sure you have your passport ready from October.

Love: Sensuality and passion add magic to your life. If single, it feels as if love has been avoiding your grasp. Love months include January, February, end of April, August and then October just changes everything as it will bring you more love and travel.

Career: Make changes and create new goals. You want unusual and extraordinary work. Your time is valuable.

Money: You are still struggling but learning how to manage money.

Sagittarius 22 Nov – 21 Dec

Insecurities can be overcome as you reach a new level of confidence and strength. Take things slowly – rethink, re-evaluate and relax. It’s going to be a good year for making plans.
