For patty:
250 g beef mince
½ onion, finely chopped 1 beef stock cube, crumbled 1 T tomato sauce
1 T barbeque sauce
1 garlic clove, crushed
½ cup flour
1 egg, beaten 1 tsp mixed herbs
2 tsps Worcestershire sauce 1 carrot, finely grated
For sides:
1 potato, thinly sliced 2 wholewheat burger rolls 2 cheddar cheese slices 1 tomato, sliced
1 avocado, sliced Strawberries
Method
1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Mix all patty ingredients in a bowl until well blended. Shape into hamburger patties. Place on a greased oven tray. Drizzle oil over the patties and place in oven and grill for about 20 minutes or until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
2. In a bowl, season potatoes with salt and mixed herbs. Place on a greased tray and drizzle with oil, bake in oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside.
3. Assemble the burger how you or the kids prefer it using all the other ingredients. Serve the burgers with crispy potato chips and packed fresh fruits and vegetables.
