HOLY PLANTS
Looking for something, other than playing the radio, to pep up the mood and promote good health at the office? According to a study published in the Sage Journal, introducing fresh plants into your working space helps absorb the toxins in the air. Most offices contain toxins that can’t be seen with the naked eye — think the air conditioner, the dirty carpet, the cleaning products used and many other baddies that you shouldn’t be breathing into your body. Indoor plants have been proven to do a stellar job at cleaning the air that circulates within the office, eliminating some of the toxic substances that spread disease, and make the ambiance sombre. Some air-purifying plants to consider include a sword fern and peace lily.
