Steps to implement when you feel that an ex is being given way too much attention:
Mashigo says that if your current relationship is built on mutual respect, trust and open communication, then do this: Share your fears with your partner.
Don’t compare yourself with his ex.
Explain how his relationship with his ex affects you and how it’s breaking the trust in your relationship.
Share how you’d like your partner to interact with his ex. Ask him to keep his distance and to explain his position to his ex.
Give your partner time to deal with his ex as there may be unresolved issues.
Try to understand their relationship, ask questions and be willing to negotiate.
If none of the above works, it might be best to move on. Don’t compromise your values.
