This sophomore album is better than the muso’s 2017 debut, proving that neo-soul is, at least, in good hands. The 17-track album is mostly made up of jams that make you want to reflect while on a long drive to nowhere. His music is soulful and heartfelt. Themes explored include love, insecurities and growth. If you’re into gqom and Afrohouse beats then Re Mmino is your album. The Free Stateborn producer has come a long way since winning the DJing competition 1’s and 2’s. Here, he features the likes of Msaki, Zanda Zakuza and TNS. The downside is some tracks sound repetitive. Other than that, the album is a banger! - SL
