In August, the JSE partnered with TRUE LOVE to inspire women to take charge of their finances. A lot of emphasis was placed on women investing not only for themselves, but in each other through various initiatives geared at developing them. The JSE's Group CFO Aarti Takoordeen emphasised the importance of South African women building a savings culture, as they influence the buying decisions in most households.
Rapelang Rabana, a technology entrepreneur and founder of Rekindle Learning, encouraged women to invest and believe in themselves — regardless of their area of expertise.
Woman and Finance founder and money columnist Mapalo Makhu urged the audience never to think of themselves as broke.
A panel of keynote expert speakers empowered guests with investment goals, plans and financial facts. Meanwhile, mini spa treatments and makeup advice sessions awaited the inspired guests outside. Here's to more investment lessons ladies!
