A TASTE OF SOUTH AFRICA WITH THE KOSHER BUTCHER’S WIFE
by Sharon Lurie, Penguin, R297
When a cookbook has food on its cover and not the creator, you know that the book is all about the recipes. This book is exactly that! The recipes explore all the different cultures of Mzansi. It’s a great way to discover more about the dishes that make us unique. I especially enjoyed the fresh spin on conventional dishes like the madumbi soup, and chicken and coconut bowl with coriander dombolo. A great addition to the cookbook collection. - MS
