DIEPCITY REPLACES ISIBAYA

Now that Isibaya is coming to an end, many people are curious to find out what will occupy the 8.30pm slot on Mzansi Magic. DiepCity is the new kid on the block that will replace Isibaya. This new telenovela, produced by Black Brain, which is led by Mandla N, is about crime, faded dreams and redemption. The show focuses on young women who were forced into crime while in high school – just to make ends meet. The drama features big names in the entertainment industry, with Dawn Thandeka King, Nozuko Ncayiyane and Mduduzi Mabaso in the lead.

“DiepCity is a tale that does not only have a gripping storyline, but is also one that exposes the lived realities of most South Africans – the life of crime and poverty. The show also goes beyond the act of crime itself to delve into what motivates or compels desperate people to do what they do.
