The Hillsiders held a memorial for their dead friend Lindile, Nthabi had a great date with Dali, and Paula was left with a blue eye after her internet date got into a fight with Marko at Oppiekoffie.

21 – 23 January

Everything’s going smoothly at the Senbank function until they’re ready to serve the soup, and Altus blows his last chance at reconciling with Paula when he throws past mistakes in her face. It’s the opening of the new and improved boutique and everyone puts on their best outfits for the flashy night. Thandeka decides to quit her Oppiekofffie job again, while Dewald makes a decision about his future.

26 – 30 January

Vince makes a massive mistake when he delivers below-quality food to a demanding client, and Danelle and Linda’s first meeting doesn’t go as planned. Paula talks to Aggie about her situation with Altus, while Linda makes sure that she has Bernard all to herself. Gita tells Ty that she isn’t happy with his progress in sabotaging the deli, while Danelle and Linda struggle to get along. Ryno bumps into an old flame, and Ty’s past plays tricks on him. The Hillside Times runs into financial difficulty when R80 000 disappears from their bank account, and Hilda’s delighted with Errol’s article about her new business idea.

2 – 3 february

Bernard and Danelle’s relationship is on the rocks thanks to Linda’s visit and demanding nature, while Gita’s shaken when she sees a familiar face in the bookshop. And Errol and Hilda work on a business plan for her new business. nb! See more on p26.
