9 – 11 february

Mxolisi moves back home to Kwa-Mashu from Joburg with a proposal that makes his crime kingpin dad Muzi rather uncomfortable. Muzi then makes his son an attractive offer in an effort to keep him out of the family business, and the devout and decent Mdletshe family are forced to deal with the consequences of their son Ayanda’s continual irresponsible behaviour. Local girl Sindisiwe finds out that her mom did something illegal that might be the root of the bad luck that plagues her, but her mom’s keeping those secrets close to her chest. Melusi and his wife Zandile must figure out a way to bring more money into the church, while Mxolisi stumbles across something sinister happening in his father’s business. Zandile sounds off about what a poor decision Ayanda seems to be making, and Sindisiwe tries to get over her mother’s secret and move on.

16 – 17 february

Mxolisi’s taken aback by his dad’s response after he calls the cops to report a crime, while Ayanda has his heart set on being a musician but he’s struggling to take that first step in the industry. Sindisiwe refuses to seek help from a traditional healer, and Muzi’s keeping things aboveboard while Mxolisi’s hanging round Kwa-Mashu but thinks that he’ll be able to go back to business as usual as soon as his son leaves. Ayanda agrees to lead the church choir – it’s a step in the right direction if he wants to be seen as a performer. Meanwhile, Zandile and Ayanda reach an understanding but things between them are awkward and uncomfortable.
