She’s no paris hilton or kim kardashian, but busi motsamai (bontle sithole) is about to discover that she’s a sextape star. but unlike paris and kim, it’s not going to make her famous…

just because busi’s much-older lover is a college professor doesn’t mean that he’s not above filming them in bed without her knowing. “she feels used, betrayed, violated and hurt that he would record such an intimate moment,” says bontle when her character finds out on friday 20 february. but can she keep the incriminating tape hidden, since he’s incorrectly assumed that she’s a cheater?

it started in late january when busi’s friend rendani (innocentia makapila) disapproved of the relationship and tried to hook busi up with one of her ageappropriate friends. busi wasn’t keen but perhaps she should’ve told her dad james (dingaan mokebe), because he’s convinced that busi’s in a relationship. he was so pleased that his daughter is “dating” someone her own age that he told his new best friend – who just happens to be busi’s much-older real lover and now thinks that his girlfriend is cheating on him.

“busi discovers that her dad and undercover lover are now friends, which creeps her out,” says bontle. “her dad ruined things by making it seem like busi was creeping around with s’bu.” responding to james’s slip of the tongue, the professor dumped busi on wednesday 4 february, leaving her distraught and heartbroken.

lights, camera, action!

busi explains the misunderstanding and she’s back with the professor by friday 20 february, which leads to make-up sex. but the afterglow fades fast when, while the prof is making morning coffee, a skype call comes in and as busi tries to answer it, she finds a folder on his laptop that changes her life forever – there she is, in full view, getting busy with her lover. “she first tries to avoid him by not answering his calls and skipping his lectures at varsity,” bontle says.

she can’t hide forever and busi faces him at chichi’s on tuesday 24 february. “she tells him how disgusted she is,” bontle explains. but it doesn’t go well. “he turns the tables and threatens her, saying that people will believe that she threw herself at him if she mentions it, leaving busi scared,” says bontle. so scared that she’s ready to drop out of varsity on wednesday 25 february, but james won’t hear of it, especially as he doesn’t know the reason for busi’s drastic decision. “james asks the professor to talk to busi and convince her to stay in school – he agrees, only because he sees it as an opportunity to talk to busi about the sextape,” says bontle.

is that love i’m feeling?

when he eventually gets busi alone, the professor has a few things to say. “he tells her that he loves her and admitting that is a pretty big deal, especially if the other person’s felt that way for a long time but was too scared to say anything,” reveals bontle. “busi’s deeply in love with him and she will do anything for him. when you’re young and naïve, it’s easy for someone to control you because you honestly believe that he is your soulmate.” a happy ending then? the fact that the tape exists should worry both busi and her man. these things always end up in the wrong hands…
