Anna gave Jeremy the option of becoming a vampire, and Elena’s doppelgänger Katherine showed up. The tomb vampires met a fiery death, and Bonnie saved Damon and Stefan from a cruel fate.

Caroline is knocking on Death’s door and the only way to save her is to make her drink Damon’s vampire blood and turn her. Tyler’s mean uncle Mason is back in Mystic Falls, along with a dark family secret that’s going to change Tyler’s life. Damon then finds out that Katherine has returned, while over at the hospital, Caroline’s life is taken and she comes back as the newest vampire in town.
