The originals

-

vampire tv show fans are seeing hunky nathan parsons playing jackson in the originals (2013-current), but it’s not his first role with bloodsuckers. he took over the character of james, lafayette’s (nelsan ellis) love interest in the final season of true blood (2008-2014).

the 26-year-old australian moved to the united states as a baby with his family, first to colorado, then texas. he studied his bachelors in fine arts acting at the university of southern california and is a member of los angelesbased boom kat dance theater. hunky nathan keeps his body in tiptop shape by doing loads of outdoor activities, including rock climbing, hiking and scuba diving, as well as yoga. did you know that his acting career started when he was just four years old? nathan’s first job was voicing child characters in japanese anime series nadia: the secret of blue water (1991). it wasn’t until 2009 though that nathan really turned heads – and not just for his good looks. he joined general hospital (1963-current) as ethan lovett, a character created especially for him. tv magazines dubbed him “one of daytime soap’s most riveting young stars” and while nathan left the show in 2012 when his contract expired, the producers left the door open for a return one day. you won’t find him playing on ipads and videogames all day. “real life is happening all around you; you’re better off just being part of it,” nathan says. he’s not on instagram (yet) and only joined social media site twitter in late september 2014, but the actor’s already got some 14 500 followers. nathan’s also quite private and says that he’s not interested in gossip, preferring people to rather respect his privacy. so you might want to rethink asking for a selfie or autograph if you spot him sipping back whiskey at la’s the griffin or enjoying a patio meal at bow & truss, two of his favourite eateries.
