during my time as a journalist, i’ve met a lot of celebs, some up-and-coming, others idols who left me starstruck. in 2010, while working for another title, i assigned one of the journalists a profile on simba mhere, who had just won a talent competition to be a presenter on top billing. the journo couldn’t stop gushing about this attractive, and humble man. cynically, i wondered how long he’d stay that way, but every encounter i had, i was left starstruck by his humility. tragically simba died in a recent car crash. simba, thank you for showing us that people don’t always change when they find fame. your loved ones are in our thoughts.
