Thandeka meets her biological “father” – thanks to David Doc keeps a secret

It’s a confusing time for Thandeka (Hlubi Mboya) when she’s dealt a blow regarding her biological dad on Wednesday 25 November. “David (Jamie Bartlett) tells Thandeka that Doc (Dumisani Mbebe) has something to do with her dad’s death and that Doc isn’t who she thinks he is,” says Hlubi. Thandeka’s intrigued but isn’t prepared for what David tells her on Thursday 26 November: her dad’s actually alive and David urges her to meet him. “She is keen as this is a beacon of light when it comes to her heritage and all the answers to her past that she’s been searching for,” Hlubi says. Little does Thandeka know the surprising turns about to take place on her journey… proud of finding her dad, Doc’s brother, and it’s only natural that he stay with them,” she says. Meanwhile, not only is Doc not comfortable with a stranger in his house, he’s also shocked at how committed Thandeka is, says Hlubi. “He knows this man isn’t his brother but he doesn’t want to break her heart.” Solomon warns Thandeka to stay away from David, who has her where he wants her and drops a bombshell about her biological father, urging Thandeka to meet him. Doc and Solomon scheme to keep Thandeka out of David’s reach, while Niki and Themba face the aftermath of their actions. Elsewhere, Thandeka meets her “father” for the first time. Solomon and Doc are thrown when Thandeka brings Mbulelo home. Solomon eventually says that they have to get rid of him, so Doc offers Mbulelo money to leave, but David doubles the amount to get him to stay. Meanwhile, Niki’s guilt is making her overcompensate towards Suffocate, and Azania turns out to be a disaster as a hairstylist. Sabelo’s worried when he learns that Mapula borrowed cash from a loanshark, while Emmanuel tries to get the Khuses to help Mapula. Later, Thandeka’s broken when her “father” tells her that he has to head out of town, and David convinces Thandeka to dig into Doc and Solomon’s past.
