Dhlomo’s dogged police work is recognised but while Mxolisi’s free, Muzi has fled and is on the run from the cops. Zandile plans to bring her prodigal son into the fold, just as another son is about to leave. Lindiwe struggles with personal and financial loss as Mxolisi rejects her plea for reconciliation, and the Mdletshes struggle to get used to their new family as Zandile helps Mxolisi feel at home. Hlengiwe has a vision about Zandile’s new family and Muzi cuts ties with Lindiwe, suspecting her of tipping off the cops. Nkosinathi later overhears Mxolisi agree to hijack a car to raise funds for Lindiwe.
