Former Revenge (2011-2015) star Josh Bowman has a killer new role – Jack The Ripper in upcoming sci-fi thriller Time After Time, which also stars UnREAL’s (2015-current) Freddie Stroma as a time-travelling good guy.

The Dancing With The Stars (2005-current) judging panel is going to look different – again. For season 22, which kicks off in the US later this month, Julianne Hough is out (she quit because she’s too busy with other projects), while Len Goodman will return as head judge alongside Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

The upcoming live-action Archie series is slowly revealing its cast. The series, based on the popular comics, has nabbed former Disney star Cole Sprouse (Cody Martin in The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody, 2005-2008) as Archie’s pal Jughead Jones, while Surviving Jack’s (2014) Lili Reinhart will play Betty Cooper, one of Archie’s love interests.

The next season of cult sci-fi classic Star Trek (1966-current) is going to be darker, violent and a whole lot more twisted if the show’s new executive producer is anything to go by. Bryan Fuller, the man behind Hannibal (2013-2015) and Pushing Daisies (2007-2009), plans to use his experience as a former Star Trek writer on Deep Space Nine (19931999) and Voyager (19952001) to take the franchise’s 2017 reboot where no other Star Trek series has gone before…

It’s official! Jennifer Lopez’s new cop show Shades Of Blue (2016curren­t) is a smash-hit. Not only is it enjoying great ratings, Shades has already been renewed for a second season. Also getting renewed are Law & Order: SVU (1999-current) for season 18, Chicago Med (2015-current) for season 2, Brit sci-fi series Doctor Who (2005-current) for season 11, Netflix sitcom Master Of None (2015-current) for season 2 and Golden Globewinni­ng sitcom Mozart In The Jungle (2014-current) for its third season. On the reality TV front, History channel’s Counting Cars (2012-current), BET’s It’s A Mann’s World (2015-current) and So You Think You Can Dance (2005-current) are getting more seasons too. As The Good Wife (2009-2016) winds down its seventh and final season, the legal drama’s creators have revealed that the ending will be both happy and sad, comparing it to the bitterswee­t ways that Six Feet Under (2001-2005) and Breaking Bad (2008-2013) said goodbye. They’ve also ruled out a time-jump into the future as well as bringing back favourites like Archie Panjabi’s Kalinda or Josh Charles as Will. The series ends in May 2016.

You don’t know his face but his voice is iconic. Actor Joe Alaskey, who’s brought a number of famous cartoon characters to life – James Bond is coming to a TV screen near you. Sort of… 007 Daniel Craig has signed on to star in a TV adaptation of Jonathan Franzen’s 2015 novel Purity. He will headline the limited series that’s expected to be 20 episodes long and is currently the subject of a bidding war between networks Netflix, Showtime and FX to adapt it.
