Gita sneaks around Hillside in disguise but Ty’s on to her.

Viewers have been left wondering since December 2015 if conniving Gita (Jo da Silva) will reappear in Hillside after she vanished. She has been avoiding the cops because she is the main suspect in Herman and Louis’s (Deon Coetzee and Lesley van Wyk) murder investigation from October 2015, even though viewers know that she didn’t do it. On Monday 29 February, a new face crept into Hillside – but under that disguise is crafty Gita! We got an exclusive peek into her return storyline and how Gita’s been transformed to look so different!
GITA’S NEW ALLY
Jo explains that Gita realised she’d have to disguise herself to return to Hillside. “She wants to prove her innocence – that’s the goal of her mission. Getting revenge on Ty ( Wilhelm van der Walt), who framed her, isn’t her end goal.” Not quite the vengeful Gita we know, but okay… On Wednesday 2 March, Gita begs Hilda (Annelisa Weiland), her only friend in the Laan, for help: she needs The Heights’ master key from Hilda’s caretaker hubby Oubaas (Pierre van Pletzen) so that she can get into Ty’s flat. Gita won’t say why she needs to get into the flat that was once hers, only that it’s very important she does. A nervous Hilda hands over the key on Thursday 3 March but it doesn’t work – Ty’s changed the locks!
BAYING FOR BLOOD
Having hit this snag with her breakin plan, Gita hatches a new plan. On Tuesday 8 March, she ropes Hilda into helping her get some of Ty’s blood – without saying why. “She wants the blood for DNA tests,” Jo says, adding that she’s sworn to secrecy on why. Hilda wants nothing to do with the
