Transparent
Amy Landecker plays eldest daughter Sarah Pfefferman in dramedy series Transparent (2014-current) and it’s given the 46-year-old more than just a job. Amy found love (for the second time) with her co-star Bradley Whitford, who played Marcy in season 1.
Amy met Bradley (56) on set in January 2015 and by September they went public with their relationship. Amy was married to journalist Jackson Lynch but divorced in 2011, while Bradley divorced his wife of 17 years Jane Kaczmarek (Lois in Malcolm In The Middle, 2000-2006) in 2009. Amy’s tried to keep her private life under wraps – like keeping her 10-year-old daughter’s name out of the papers – but that didn’t stop her exhubby from hinting that the reason they divorced was because Amy was sleeping with Larry David, her co-star from Curb Your Enthusiasm (1999-2011). She went to Francis W Parker preschool in Wisconsin. What’s special about that? Her classmates included Anne Heche (Men In Trees, 2006-2008), Tim Griffin from Wayward Pines (2015current), Daryl Hannah (Kill Bill, 2003 and 2004) and Billy Zane (Titanic, 1997). Amy’s also done a lot of voiceover work, which she learnt from her dad John Records Landecker, who was a legendary ’90s radio DJ in Chicago. She’s often mistaken for Friends (1994-2004) star Courteney Cox and adds that these days a lot of fans come up to her for an autograph, mistaking her for Amy Brenneman from The Leftovers (2014-current). Amy got her love of yoga from her mom Judith, who’s a hatha Iyengar (making use of props like pillows) yoga instructor and she goes to the famous Maha Yoga studio in LA.
