RANT & RAVE
• I think that 7de Laan has really gone down the drain. There is absolutely nothing positive in the show anymore. I can’t be bothered to watch. It used to be the highlight of my day but not anymore – MELISSA, KRAAIFONTEIN • What’s going on with 7de Laan? I’m glad Altus is leaving and I hope he never comes back. It’s just one big mess these days
– DRIESIE, VIA SMS • Are the 7de Laan writers being employed straight out of junior school? Where are the absolutely ridiculous Natalie/Elaine storylines coming from? They portray women as vindictive basket cases and the programme, at present, is pure unadulterated trash! They are now entering the realms of the rubbish dumps of Days! – MARC, CONSTANTIA • Why does SABC show the same movies each weekend? Surely there must be something else? I have taken to the radio Saturday and Sunday evenings. Much more relaxing – YVONNE, VIA SMS • Yippeeeee! Very glad for more of Days Of Our Lives! – COLLEEN FIONA CUPIDO-DE BRUYN, VIA FACEBOOK • I just saw [Isidingo’s] Benjamin in 7de Laan! What’s going on there? – PRUDENCE MNCULWANE, VIA FACEBOOK • Dear SABC2, I want to take the time not to ask you for anything, but to thank you for moving the 7de Laan omnibus from 15:30 to 14:30 every Sunday. – EDWARD VAN DER WESTHUIZEN, VIA FACEBOOK • I see in the opening credits of Muvhango that the Mojalefas and Pfuluwani have been removed – DHAT’ BLACKBONE QUEEN’LIZZY, VIA FACEBOOK [see more on p17 – editor] • The Voice SA is a breath
of fresh air. More please!
– ANNA, DULLSTROOM • Isidingo’s storylines are more about sexual escapades and shenanigans these days than the topical, relevant issues that made the soapie so popular in the first place – ANONYMOUS, VIA SMS • Please tvplus, can you ask Days Of Our Lives to stop playing music when the actors are talking. As older people, we can’t follow the conversations and we look forward to our soapies – MIEMIE THURTLE, VIA SMS
