Dead man walking

Dibuseng’s nightmare is far from over: her hubby Rhudzani has risen from the dead while she has to rot in jail for his murder!

-

Thola Season 2 Wednesdays (from 25 May) SABC2 (*192) 21:30

Prepare for an even wickeder side of Rhudzani Makwarela (Fumani Shilubana) when Thola (2014- current) returns for season 2. For someone who’s meant to be dead, Rhudzani sure is giving his wife Dibuseng (now played by Keabetswe “KB” Motsilanyane) a difficult time. “He faked his death and he’s back to consolidate his power,” says Fumani. “He doesn’t care for Dibuseng and wants to make sure that she stays in jail at all costs.” There’s not much she can do from where she is and it looks like everyone who tries to help gets in Rhudzani’s way and is destroyed. “You will be sitting on the edge of your seat – that’s how crazy we went with this season,” Fumani says.

What’s going to surprise viewers the most about Rhudzani now? The seedy deals he makes as a businessman. He doesn’t care about anyone. He’s cold-hearted. And his relationship with Dibuseng? He doesn’t care for her at all. Never has. He only married her for her political connections and money. His dislike of her wasn’t as overt as it is this time around. He’s so devious! What about his kids? He and his girlfriend have a son who disappears this season. That hurts him… Remember that his child with Dibuseng drowned last season and his illegitimate son Kingdom ( Wandile Molebatsi) was accused of the crime? We find out if he’s found guilty of murder this season. We also discover who pushed Rhudzani off the building when he plunged to his “death”. He’s back in Gauteng after hiding out of town – how does he stay under the radar? Rhudzani’s been gone for a good two years in-between the two seasons, growing his business interests. When he returns, it’s with a huge bang. He is a high-level criminal so he doesn’t worry about being caught. He has people who do his bidding. And how does he deal with the people trying to help Dibuseng? He’s rich and he wants his money to work for him. If you come and mess with his business and get in his way, he will come down on you… hard!

Joining is ex-Scandal! (2005- current) star Masasa Mbangeni (Thembeka) who left the soap in May and Kgomotso Christopher, Katlego on Isidingo (1998- current) until April. Masasa plays Sindi, who’s in jail for fraud, theft and shoplifting. She has eight years left to go of her 11year sentence. Kgomotso is investigative journalist Ramamtla – Dibuseng’s best friend Dipuo’s (Lerato Mvelase) colleague.
