We knew that sweet, unassuming Namane Funerals assistant Disebo (Shoki Mokgapa) was no angel when she slept with a betrothed Tsietsi (Nyaniso Dzedze) on Wednesday 6 July, just before his wedding to pregnant Mpho (Nyalleng Thibedi). But we’re about to discover something a lot more disturbing about her past when a visitor shows up at Disebo’s office and she isn’t happy to see him.

HELLO, HONEY

On Friday 12 August, weeks after running away from the one person that she least excepted to find her, Disebo comes face-to-face with her worst nightmare: her husband Otsile (Kope Makgae). “It is a huge shock,” explains Shoki. “He is upset with Disebo for disappearing and she is upset with him for finding her, especially at her place of work.” Shoki explains Disebo’s predicament as her being a sort of a child bride. “She did not want to be married, but because of pressure from her family, she was forced into a marriage with this guy, who’s a pastor,” she says. “She left him to escape the decorum that comes with being a pastor’s wife. All that she wants is to be divorced.” But she didn’t tell him this, choosing to run away instead and now Disebo has to explain a whole Disebo is stunned when her hubby shows up. lot of things to a whole lot of people, including her hubby whom she cheated on with Tsietsi.

LIAR LIAR

Disebo’s nosy but supportive co-worker Damian (Mandla Gaduka) learns that Otsile is in town on Monday 15 August and “Disebo told Damian that Otsile was a bad man who forced her into marriage,” says Shoki. “According to Damian, this man [Otsile] is an abusive monster and his return signals trouble for Disebo – she therefore needs Damian’s protection.” Damian keeps an eye on Disebo on Tuesday 16 August, making sure that Otsile doesn’t come near her. But what he doesn’t know is that Otsile is just an innocent pastor who has found his runaway wife and is trying to get her to come home. But it’s not long before the truth comes out – and when it does, the secrets keep flooding out… Poor pastor Otsile just wants his wife back.
