How do Uzalo’s real-life siblings keep it professional?
Is it true that Nyalleng and Mmamitse Thibedi from Uzalo are sisters? – THAMBO, VIA SMS Uzalo (2015- current) creative director Mmamitse Thibedi and Nyalleng Thibedi (Zekhethelo) are sisters and they even live together now that Nyalleng has relocated to Durban, where Uzalo is shot. “My sister inspires me, but we hardly ever have time to hang out because she is always working,” laughs Nyalleng. And on set, it’s strictly professional. “I look to her as my boss, I don’t question her. Some of the cast members didn’t even know that we’re sisters. There is a barrier, work is work and home is home. And there is a high level of respect.”
