Basadi’s stocks take a knock when it’s publicly revealed that money is missing from the business coffers. James is more determined than ever to prove to his friend and boss Thandaza that he didn’t steal money from their business and he goes as far as to cash in his personal investments to cover the stolen funds. Thandaza still isn’t sure that she can trust James at the office despite his sacrifice, which forces James to do something he never thought he’d have to: getting a lawyer.
Thandaza has more issues to deal with at home, like Ranthumeng, whose cagey behaviour leads her to suspect that he’s having another affair. Thandaza later learns that she was worried for nothing and she extends an olive branch to both Imani and Gugu, who she thought Ranthu was cheating with. Meanwhile at the Royal house, Mpho’s refusal to have children is becoming a problem, not just for Azwindini but for his advisors too. Vho-Makadazi is spitting venom and thinks that Mpho needs to have a “chat” with the other women in the Royal house to get a better understanding of “how things work around her” and what being a dutiful wife to the chief means.
Imani tells Gugu and Thandaza that she’s met “someone” but she isn’t willing to tell them who, which is a concern for both women. Matshidiso is desperate to get a job as she’s tired of being a kept woman but KK confronts her. Rendani throws her weight around Hangwani’s house. Gizara makes an important confession, and Hangwani’s actions push Rendani further from the family, possibly for good.
