THE BRIDE!
Magical pics of Lee-Ann and Adam’s big day
Lee-Ann and Adam (Portia Joel and Kevin Smith) have only been together for two months and in that time they’ve faced numerous hurdles to get to the altar. Like her family and friends who’re worried that Adam is using Lee-Ann for business – he works for Suidooster Props’ biggest rival Panvista Properties. LeeAnn has also had to worry about obsessive ex- cop Chris (Marcel van Heerden), who stalked them in early October, as well as her business partner brother-in-law and business partner Ian (Abduraghmaan Adams), who sabotaged their relationship in October by framing Adam for stealing a Suidooster Properties’ project. But with all that drama, the couple reach the altar on Thursday 19 October in this tvplus- exclusive story.
SHOTGUN WEDDING?
While it looks like a snapshot decision to marry, Portia says that it’s definitely “the right decision”. “There is something about Adam that bowled over Lee-Ann from the word go – like love at first sight. She knew that she couldn’t let him slip through her fingers.” Newcomer newcomer Kevin agrees, saying that they’re “perfect for each other”.
As in other soapies, the wind often brings in new troubles just when everything seems to be going okay. The pair return from honeymoon on Wednesday 25 October and right away notice that something isn’t right. Lee-Ann’s friend Carmen (Desiré Gardner) reveals that Chris has been snoop-ing around in their place. “Lee-Ann is furious and she’s ready to explode,” says Portia. “Her time with Chris is over and he needs to accept that. He has no reason to be digging into her private life and new marriage.” Lee-Ann confronts him about it that same day and makes it painfully clear to Chris where the boundaries are.
MIXING BUSINESS & PLEASURE
Lee-Ann quit her job in mid- October over all the drama about Adam possibly using her for industrial espionage and now it’s his turn to go through the same mill. Adam comes under fire on Monday 30 October and Kevin admits that “it is tough for him – but now he knows what his wife went though. He suggests to Lee-Ann that they start a business together because he has also been shut out at work. He isn’t willing to have either of their names dragged through the mud falsely.” It sounds like a good idea and they’re daydreaming about working together by Thursday 2 November. But what’s that saying about not mixing business with pleasure? Hmmm…
