It’s tough-love time as Dr Conrad tries to open Devon’s eyes to how things really work at Chastain Park Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, thanks to a broken system, greed and politics between the staff…
1 Dr Pravesh (drama show 90210’s Raj Kher, 2011-2012) just wants to save lives and do good, which makes Dr Conrad re-moulding him in his own image painful for Pravesh.
2 Nurse Nic Nevin (Emily VanCamp, Emily in drama series Revenge, 2011-2015) is kind and competent but she still has an inconvenient soft spot for her ex-boyfriend Dr Conrad.
3 Senior Resident Dr Conrad Hawkins (Matt Czuchry, drama show The Good Wife’s Cary, 2009-2016) is at war with his Chief Of Surgery. He might be right but Conrad is an arrogant bully with a shaky grasp of medical ethics.
4 Chief Of Surgery Dr Randolph Bell (Bruce Greenwood, Dr Emmet Cole in drama series The River, 2012) is an ageing rock-star surgeon with a lethal hand tremor. He’s blackmailing the staff into taking the fall for his malpractice.
5 Dr Lane Hunter (Melina Kanakaredes, CSI’s Detective Bonasera, 2004-2010) is the profiteering oncologist waiting for Hawkins and Bell to destroy each other.
6 Dr Mina Okafor (Shaunette Wilson, Stephanie in drama Billions, 2016-current) is a brilliant Nigerian surgeon with the training to use the newest surgical robots.
