REUNION REPEAT

Mazwi and Sphe have only been married for two-and-a-half years but this is their third reconciliation. Mazwi never gave up his girlfriend Nolwazi (Thando Thabethe) when he and Sphe married in July 2016, keeping her as his mistress until she dumped him in February 2017. Even then, Mazwi kept a stash of sidepieces to keep himself busy, but Sphe did the same in October 2017 when she got a little too close for Mazwi’s comfort with gangster Gadaffi (Vuyo Dabula). Sphe only agreed to stop seeing Gadaffi when Mazwi promised to be a good husband and work on their marriage, as well as taking care of Rorisang as functioning parents. “It took us and viewers by surprise in June [2018] when they fell in love again,” says Pearl. “They’ve worked through their issues time and time again, only to fall apart again. It was hard for Sphe to let Mazwi go the last time that he left. She is actually excited that they are getting yet another chance to fix things and hopefully be a proper family this time.”
