Bill’s big bang

Dollar Bill’s plan to blow up the Spectra Fashions office could be the biggest mistake of his ruthless life.

-

Businessman Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) has reached the end of this tether with Spectra Fashions – he is getting their building come hell or high water. “He has done everything to get rid of them, including trying to burn down the place,” says Don. But his attacks have only made Team Spectra and his own son Liam (Scott Clifton) more determined to stop Bill from erecting a skyscraper in its place. Liam and Sally (Courtney Hope) planned a secret silent sit-in protest from Friday 30 November, which Scott says should stop Bill from blowing up the building: “Liam certainly doesn’t think that Bill would commit murder to get a piece of ground, but he’s wrong!” Bill gets the thumbs up from his demolition crew on Thursday 13 December and pushes that big red button, laughing to himself as the building crumbles: “And just like that, Sky is born!”

DON’T DO IT!

Bill’s smile disappears that same day when his lawyer henchman Justin (Aaron D Spears) frantically calls him to tell him that Liam and Sally are still inside. “The situation is now deadly serious for Bill as he realises what he has done,” explains Don. And possibly killing his son doesn’t just affect Bill – Liam’s panicking wife

Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) rushes to the scene on Friday 14 December. “She is beside herself, thinking that her father-in-law has killed her husband,” says Jacqueline. Bill tries to calm Steffy as they watch the rescue team, but it’s clear on Bill’s face: he gone too far.

LOVE & LOSS

Protected by a crumbling concrete slab, Sally uses what’s meant to be their last minutes together on Friday 14 December to tell Liam that she loves him and they kiss. Seconds later they’re pulled to safety by the rescue team, but Bill may not want to stick around – Liam lashes out at his dad from his hospital bed on Tuesday 18 December, shouting “Get out! I don’t want to know you!”
