It isn’t always easy, but I do try not to single out one soapie, channel or programme to highlight. But I have to say that the Showmax offering is top quality. When I saw how few new shows and films are available on the free channels, I realised it was time to tell readers more about movies and series available on the streaming service – see much more on p8-10. Especially since you can now get it for free if you’re a Vodacom subscriber. And even if you aren’t, I’d encourage you to try it. It really is value for money and not too expensive for what you get. I even stream my series on Showmax while I sweat on the treadmill (and then I get funny looks if I talk out loud to the characters like I do when I’m at home). There really is something for everyone, from soaps to golden oldies and everything in-between. Just try it! And let us know what you think!
