Church man vs jail man: Thobile’s boyfriend choice leads to kidnapping!
Once again, Thobile (Nokuthula Mabika) finds herself caught in the middle of two men. And they’re the same men as before. Only this time, her car-hijacking sweetheart Mastermind (Ntokozo Dlamini) is behind bars, while “god fearing”, church-going Wandile (Katleho Mofokeng) has all the aunties’ stamp of approval. And Mastermind is about to make her choice all that much easier when he invites her for a conjugal visit on Wednesday 2 January. But it turns out that Wandile is twistier than Thobile even realises – and he doesn’t like it when Mastermind keeps making phonecalls to “his” girl.

“It turns out that Wandile has a mental issue that needs to be managed,” Nokuthula reveals. “Even the first time that they hooked up,
Mrs Madlala (Ntombifuthi Dlamini) was a big part of the whole setup. She wants to save her nephew because she believes that if Wandile is with Thobile, he has someone to watch over him 24/ 7 and if he has that, he is going to get his life together. And it would be good in the community’s eyes and in God’s eyes. Mrs Madlala is using the situation because she knows that Mastermind is in prison right now.” Poor, innocent Thobile frets over her choice between the men, unaware of Wandile’s issues on Thursday 3 January, while Wandile secretly plots his own move. “Mastermind keeps calling her. And she keeps answering these phonecalls in private, not knowing that Wandile is listening in to all of her conversations! That only triggers his mental health issues more,” warns Nokuthula.
CRAZY FOR YOU
Thobile will find herself in the midst of a kidnapping drama on Thursday 10 January when Wandile’s craziness kicks in. “Wandile tricks Thobile into thinking they’re going on a romantic getaway to Cape Town. And she feels that this is the perfect time for her to leave. She doesn’t want to be with Mastermind because she wants a better future for herself. She doesn’t realise that she is being tricked until they leave and instead of driving to the airport he takes her to this abandoned building. It’s then that she realises that this guy has kidnapped her and he is a psycho!” says Nokuthula. If Thobile gets out of this alive, she might have to consider relocating with less drama. But with Nokuthula not joining the Uzalo (2015- current) cast for season 5, fans will be on the edge of their seats to see how this abduction drama unfolds.
