The year had barely started and drug queenpin Harriet (Connie Ferguson) was waving guns literally and figuratively in the faces of her mother- daughter rivals Gracious and Goodness (Rami Chuene and Zenande Mfenyana). By month end, threats turned into bodies.

BEATEN & BATTERED

The Queen got people talking in April with their assault storyline of Tebogo (Fezile Makhanya) beating his girlfriend Kea (Dineo Moeketsi). It was a turning point for Kea, whose mom Harriet was waiting with a loaded gun to save her daughter.

DRUG DELIGHT

Diamond (Zolisa Xaluva) made a shocking return in July by taking cop Vuyiswa (Zandile Msutwana) hostage and stealing Harriet’s cocaine shipment.

ALL ALONE

Kagiso couldn’t get a break: his lover Kamina (Michelle Mosalakae) was killed by his mom Harriet and his son Jean- Pierre (Jason Ibiayo) was revealed to be someone else’s child in December.

PREVIOUSLY

Vuyiswa started drinking again to cope with her personal drama, and Goodness used Thabiso as a tool in her revenge scheme.

2 – 4 JANUARY

Schumacher keeps a close eye on Thabiso and Goodness’s close new friendship, and Vuyiswa has help getting out of her personal rut. Vuyiswa later makes peace with her ex Officer Jerry, and there’s a hole where Adelaide used to be.

7 – 11 JANUARY

Vuyiswa makes a stunning confession before leaving the Maake house, and Goodness doesn’t like the thought of Thabiso being close to his own daughter. Harriet evaluates helping Zack with his little problem, and a new bride makes her way to the Maake family. Goodness is ready for war and not just on Twitter this time, and Jerry and Vuyiswa’s lies are exposed. Kea meanwhile can’t help but notice the icy exchanges between Goodness and Thabiso.

14 – 15 JANUARY

Jerry for once doesn’t have sure footing, and Siyanda desperately searches for a job, not knowing that one may be around the corner. The Maake wedding is under threat from one of their own, and Mabuza thinks that he’s found love.
